Inter-Korean cooperation instrumental for settling nuclear issue
During the press conference held to mark the fourth anniversary of his inauguration, President Moon Jae-in stated that he will find a way for the United States and North Korea to restart dialogue and cooperate towards peace. He also mentioned that he would do his best to restart the “peace clock” once again, if the opportunity is given to him. This remark shows that the April 21 Korea-U.S. summit is the last chance for the Moon administration to achieve a practical outcome.

Balancing diplomacy, strategic ambiguity
Amid the U.S.-China conflict, the Moon Jae-in administration's diplomatic strategy appears to constitute “balancing diplomacy” and “strategic ambiguity.” The United States and China are by no means subjects of choice for us. The United States is an ally, which forms the basis for all cooperation, and China is a strategic partner. As we have to live together with China as a neighboring country, balancing diplomacy is based on reality.
