South Korean football star Son Heung-min has scored his 100th goal as a member of Tottenham Hotspur in the first match of the new year.

Son's goal in the 43rd minute, assisted by Harry Kane, put his team in the lead by 2-0 against Leeds United in a Premier League match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Saturday.

Son also set up the team's third goal with a corner headed home by Toby Alderweireld early in the second half.

The victory lifted Tottenham from seventh to third place in the league tables with 29 points. It was Tottenham's first win in five matches.
