HOIAN, Vietnam ― Set to provide a true home-away-from-home experience, Hoiana Residences is ready to satisfy Korean guests by offering unique services that cannot be found elsewhere in Vietnam, according to the vice president of Hoiana Resort and Golf.

Hoiana Residences is part of a $4-billion (5 trillion won) mega project by Hoi An South Development to build an integrated resort featuring four luxury hotels along with a serviced apartment. It opened its doors in November of last year aiming to provide a luxurious, five-star experience with a touch of home for those who want relaxation and entertainment, thereby bringing the customer experience to a whole new level.

The Hoiana Resort and Golf integrated resort includes Hoiana Shores Golf Club, arguably the best links course in Vietnam. Courtesy of Hoiana Resort and Golf
Noel Lum, vice president of Hoiana Resort and Golf
Currently, Hoiana Residences is one of three existing accommodations of Hoiana Resort and Golf along with Hoiana Hotel and Suites and New World Hoiana Hotel. Set to open in 2023 is KHOS Hoiana followed by Rosewood Hoi An in 2024, augmenting the integrated resort.

"Our strategy is that we want to position ourselves as a home away from home for our Korean guests," Noel Lum, vice president of Hoiana Resort and Golf, said in an interview with The Korea Times.

"When they come to Hoiana, we represent the best that Vietnam has to offer in terms of Korean food, in terms of Korean living and also in terms of our top-rated golf course ― Hoiana Shores Golf Club. So, this is very distinctive and very appealing to the Korean market overall."

In particular, the vice president stressed the residences' solid service and professional staff.

"Especially in terms of our service and our team members, we always recruit the best that we can find so that they can communicate with our Korean guests," Lum said.

"We also have Korean restaurants and we have our K-Mart at our properties, so basically in terms of whatever that we can help make the Korean guests feel at home, they work to give them the best that we can."

With 270 stylish serviced apartments, many of which offer magnificent ocean views, Hoiana Residences differ from typical hotel rooms.

"We are the first to offer residences in central Vietnam for Korean travelers," Lum said.

"The apartment is able to give them, for example if they want to cook Korean food, (we have) microwave, Korean rice and kimchi and then for golfers, especially when they play golf every day, they want to wash their clothes and the residences come complete with a washer, dryer, and anything that they need at home. So in that sense, it makes us very special."

Given that the integrated resort has two more accommodations, it can meet the demands of every type of traveler, according to the vice president.

"For customers that come with family, they like to stay at the residences because they can cook and they have a lounge and the living area for them to rest and to host their friends and their families," the vice president said.

"For business travelers or for those who are traveling as a couple, or if they're looking for higher-end experiences, they will stay at Hoiana Hotel and Suites," he said.

"So basically, we have every type of hotel to cover every type of traveler and the experiences that they want, whether it's family, single traveler, business traveler, or even the working executives."

The Hoiana Resort and Golf integrated resort includes Hoiana Shores Golf Club, arguably the best links course in Vietnam. Courtesy of Hoiana Resort and Golf

In order to attract more customers, the integrated resort launched Hoiana Premier Rewards, a loyalty program that is free to join and offers members signature experiences, resort-wide discounts, promotions, privileges, personalized rewards, best-price-guaranteed resort packages, partner benefits and more at Hoiana Resort and Golf.

"The Hoiana Premier Rewards program is based on other world-class loyalty programs from Macau as well as Singapore," Lum said, adding that some of the perks of the program cannot be found anywhere else in Vietnam.

The reward program, the first in Vietnam that offers a five-star reward program for members, features four membership tiers ― Essential, Prestige, Elite and Infinite.

"At each level, the customers will always be ready to come to Hoiana and they will always be rewarded, whether it's within Hoiana or whether when they go out to Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and even other areas as well in the future," the vice president said, adding that his company is working to expand the program to other Vietnamese cities.

"So they will not find a similar level of service anywhere else and it is recognized as the best in Vietnam and the region," he added.

Lum said Hoiana Resort and Golf is confident that it has everything a customer needs either on holiday or on a business trip.

"Because we are an integrated resort, the good thing about us is that when a customer comes here, they don't need to go out," Lum said.

"In terms of the restaurants, we have a good variety of 10 restaurants and 12 cuisine types under one roof. We have a buffet, we have Vietnamese food, Chinese food and Korean food," Lum said.

"And then for the accommodation style, we have our suites and then our outdoor pool facilities. And also as we keep on improving our facilities and our service, we are always looking for new experiences for the high-value customer in terms of whether it's the casino side or special dining experiences"

The Hoiana Resort and Golf integrated resort includes Hoiana Shores Golf Club, arguably the best links course in Vietnam. Courtesy of Hoiana Resort and Golf

He also said his company is working with luxury brand partners to offer more privileges to its high-value customers.

"They will always find that there's something new going on, whether it's an event, or whether it's food experience casino promotions or golf."

Plus, the Hoiana complex offers, arguably, the best links course in Vietnam at Hoiana Shores Golf Club that unfolds along the shoreline south of Hoi An and offers one of the most compelling golf experiences in Southeast Asia.
